If you've got a lot of gear to haul and you need more room for passengers inside your vehicle, why not make use of your receiver hitch with this sturdy folding hitch basket? It's perfect to free up space inside your vehicle, because its generous 60" L x 20" W x 6" H dimensions make it large enough for a lot of cargo, particularly bulky items. The heavy-duty, all steel tubular construction and low lift-over height make it ideal for heavy gear: up to 500 lbs. including the weight of the basket.
The Folding Hitch Basket comes equipped with reflectors at the rear and the sides to make sure it remains visible at night. When not needed, it can be folded up against the back of the vehicle, to make additional room to ease parking and garaging your vehicle. The optional hitch basket net is the easy way to secure your gear to the basket; no need to mess with bungee cords and tie-down straps. And if you want your gear organized and protected from the weather, there's the optional hitch basket bag.
To install the Folding Hitch Basket, a 2" receiver hitch with a minimum Class III/IV rating is required. It comes with everything necessary for installation, including detailed instructions. The limited 1-year warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product, and warrants the product against manufacturer's defects in materials or workmanship.149.68

The product was very good quality, just wasn't what I needed. Be careful when buying a universal cargo box as this product did not fit the Thule cross bar system installed on a Mazda CX-9! Returned to CARiD which was an easy process. Thanks. Was this review helpful for you? I live in a small studio apartment and have a large Cruiser. Since the bike is so heavy, I really did not want to mount anything to the wall (since it's rented!) and the SportRack totally eliminated the problem. It was fairly easy to put together and it's very sturdy. Was this review helpful for you? I've used this rack on one long road trip and several weekend trips including a bit of off-roading. The rack works great and keeps the bikes secure even over rough terrain. The bolt-style hitch pin may seem like a pain but it contributes a lot to the stability - without it you'd need to add a separate stabilizer to get the same level of support for the bikes. For security, I just run a cable lock thru the safety chain loop on my hitch - no need for a locking hitch pin.Was this review helpful for you? I have to start by saying I am very pleased with this bike rack. It's sturdy, but won't scuff or scratch your car. It performs much better that I expected. When on the road, my bike doesn't move an inch. I haven't tried it with multiple bikes yet, but it seems like it would handle the extras as well. Was this review helpful for you? Our garage was being overrun by bicycles belonging to my son and his friends. When this rack arrived, I had it assembled in about ten minutes, and now the garage clutter is much reduced. It's easy to use and holds everything we've put on it so far (including a Razor scooter and a unicycle). Solid and stable. Was this review helpful for you? We purchased this bike rack over a year ago and we loved it from the first day we used it. It's very user-friendly for making adjustments to fit the bikes. We have had four adult bikes on this rack and not one of them has ever touched each other even on an 8-hour trip. We love that the bikes are not hanging but rather supported by the wheels of the bike. The rack is easy to mount and unmount from your vehicle. However, the rack is a little on the heavy side for a women to mount by herself. For storage the rack folds up and can be placed against your garage wall. We highly recommend this bike rack. Was this review helpful for you? YesNo
