Awesome Steps

Tuff-Bar® 1-5633 - 3" Black Round Bent Tube Step Bars

The car was black so the black just seemed obvious. They look great. Installation wasn't to difficult but the instructions where a tad difficult to follow, fortunately the pictures where awesome and helped with all that. It took longer to get them than I had hoped but I'm totally satisfied now that they're here and installed.

Tuff Bars From CARiD

Tuff-Bar® 1-0633 - 3" Polished Round Bent Tube Step Bars

These bars are sturdy, useful and look great. They took about a week to arrive, but they had to come 3000 miles to get here from Ca. so not too bad. Installation was pretty easy once you figure out what the directions are trying to say. About 15 min per side. Passenger side didn't line up level but was easily remedied with a couple washers. Fortunately the mounting bolt was long enough to handle it. Not sure if this was from design or mfg defect but no real problem

Good Value

Tuff-Bar® 1-5633 - 3" Black Round Bent Tube Step Bars

These bars are a very good product for the dollars spent. Install is very simple, once you lay out and identify the various parts it all make sense. I down graded the quality because I had to make some spacers for the front passenger side under the door sill to get it level. No big deal a piece of 3/8 aluminum did the trick.

2012 Escape

Tuff-Bar® 1-0633 - 3" Polished Round Bent Tube Step Bars

Even though all the material says 2008-2011, this is a perfect fit for the 2012. There is a bit of difficulty in getting the main hanger bolt through the rocker and hanger with the flat washer and lock washer, but that is probably vehicle specitic and the end result is worth the effort. Like the 2009 model, this needs the muffler hanger moved to be outside the rear hanger and it is not clear that the factory bolts are long enough for the addition of washers. Other than using Lock-tite on all factory bolts, this was easy to do and worth the investment of time and money!
