Tow Ready Accessories

Universal Chrome Pintle Hook Replacement Ball by Tow Ready®. Selecting the right hitch ball is a must for trouble-free towing. There's much more to the choice than simply fitting your trailer coupler. Load rating and shank diameter and length are also critical for safe, trouble-free towing. Lifetime warranty.

Tow Ready

Features:

  • Hitch ball requires use with like rated receiver and ball mount
  • Consult tow vehicle owner's manual for max towing capacities
  • Solid steel hitch balls engineered to meet all safety requirements of VESC V-5
  • Cold forged for superior strength

Always use the properly rated hitch ball for your towing system.

Your towing system's maximum weight rating will always be no better than the single lowest-rated item in the system. Your hitching system cannot be upgraded to a rating higher than the maximum rating of your hitch. For example, a 3,500 lbs.-rated ball on a 2,000 lbs. max trailer weight-rated hitch does not increase your towing capacity to 3,500 lbs. Your hitching system is still rated at 2,000 lbs. Conversely, a 2,000 lbs.-rated ball on a 3,500 lbs. max trailer weight-rated hitch decreases your maximum towing capacity to only 2,000 lbs.

The hitch ball diameter must be the same diameter as the trailer coupler (1-7/8", 2", or 2-5/16").

The shank diameter of the hitch ball should be the same as the hole diameter in the (correct) ball mount you selected. The shank length should be long enough to allow at least two threads to protrude past the tightened nut. That means a 3 3/8" shank if you're attaching to a solid 2" bar ball mount, or at least 1-1/2" to a 3/8" plate ball mount.

Tow Ready products include Cequent T-One vehicle connectors, ModuLite power modules and an extensive selection of electrical adapters and accessories, to help make your trailer to tow vehicle electrical connections easy. Tow Ready products are the perfect supplement to a hitch installation when worry free electrical connections are required.
