Passenger Side Axle Sleeve Kit (4990700) by TeraFlex®. Without Gussets. The TeraFlex axle sleeve kit is designed to reinforce the weak axle tubing and knuckles on factory axles. This prevents unwanted bending or breaking under extreme conditions. Lift your Jeep. Lift it for several good reasons, all of which will make it more capable in off-road situations. Off-roading in a Jeep is great fun. But don't expect an unmodified Jeep to go over every rock and tree stump you see. Don't expect it to be able to hillclimb in mud or slog through deep, loose sand. Don't expect it to make the length of Baja unscathed. The first thing you need is bigger tires. Those tires are too big to fit under the Jeep's already capacious wheel wells. The second thing you need is more ground clearance, to let your Jeep clear big logs and climp over rocky protuberances. Raising a Jeep is more complex than simply adding longer springs. Longer springs and longer shocks are where most lift kits start, but every additional inch means you have to modify other things, like the steering system, the drivetrain and even the wiring and brake lines. Lifting the body on the frame is good for another inch or two, but a serious lift will require a host of modifications.
