Cold cranking amps (CCA) is a measurement of the number of amps a battery can deliver at 0° F for 30 seconds and not drop below 7.2 volts. So a high CCA battery rating is especially important in starting battery applications, and in cold weather. This is a winch for the true adventurer who travels unmapped trails. It is made to be used and abused, and it has proven itself again and again in the harshest conditions. The Outback winch has bearings where other brands stick with bushings, machined gears where others use with cheaper stuff that creates more friction or easily breaks. It has a strong, series wound motor and low gearing to ensure maximum pulling power and minimize risks of overheating. The planetary gear gives three wire speeds for easy and speedy operation. The 4-way roller Fairway and the long wire make it easy to find a reliable anchor point for the big pull. You can pull at an angle without problems. The remote control allows you to stay at the anchor point, making sure that the wire stays where you want it, while stretching the wire, and then move to a safe distance and place for the actual pull, still staying in full control of the operation. The Outback winch is a great safety feature whether you are driving through Peruvian jungles or the forest back at your own farm. If you can't keep out of trouble the Outback will pull you out of it.
T-Max is a brand owned by truck accessory specialist Wade Automotive. Prior to the acquisition by Wade in October 2008, T-Max Winches was an independent company with a long and proud history of delivering quality winches and recovery equipment for light trucks and the off-road enthusiast market. The winches were made in China and the U.S. distributor, T-Max LLC, was operating out of Elkhart, Indiana. When Wade, was looking to expand its product line, the T-Max winches was a natural choice, as the quality reputation and competitive pricing of the T-Max winches was exactly what quality conscious Wade Automotive was looking for. The distribution of the T-Max winches have now been moved to the Wade warehouse operation in Minnesota, and is now integrated in the efficient Wade logistics system to serve customers even better.
