A certain way to hurt yourself and/or your vehicle in vehicle recovery operations, is to use pulling gear not intended for recovery purposes. Pulling a vehicle out of trouble requires elasticity in the rope. If the rope is stiff it transfers sudden yanks in the rope to the anchoring point on the vehicle. The forces in these yanks can be very strong and cause serious damage to the vehicle. A stiff rope is also more prone to break and whip around, whips that can be lethal if you stand within reach of the whipping rope. An elastic snatch strap also makes recovery easier, as the energy built up in the strap helps pull the vehicle out of the hole, without causing excessive stress on the anchoring point. Note: Straps for vehicle recovery and towing purposes are elastic. When they are stretched out, energy builds up in the cords, and when tension is reduced these elastic straps return to original length. The energy built up in the strap helps pull the vehicle out without causing sharp and damaging yanks.76.04Brand: T-Max Part Number: 47-3203 UPC: 707742037096
T-Max is a brand owned by truck accessory specialist Wade Automotive. Prior to the acquisition by Wade in October 2008, T-Max Winches was an independent company with a long and proud history of delivering quality winches and recovery equipment for light trucks and the off-road enthusiast market. The winches were made in China and the U.S. distributor, T-Max LLC, was operating out of Elkhart, Indiana. When Wade, was looking to expand its product line, the T-Max winches was a natural choice, as the quality reputation and competitive pricing of the T-Max winches was exactly what quality conscious Wade Automotive was looking for. The distribution of the T-Max winches have now been moved to the Wade warehouse operation in Minnesota, and is now integrated in the efficient Wade logistics system to serve customers even better.
