Debuted in the 2009 model year, the Suzuki Kizashi is smoothly styled compact crossover. It first premiered in Japan in October 2009, in North America in December 2009, and in Australia in May 2010. Kizashi became available in the USA in July 2009. Being a successful producer of compact vehicles and Suzuki parts, Suzuki hasn't stopped improving its models. After great sales of Suzuki Swift over the last year, the company needed a vehicle to capture existing customers as they grow up. The process started with the small SX4, and the Kizashi is here to finish up the list with the best offer in the Suzuki lineup. Standard equipment includes front-wheel drive and a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine developing 170 lb ft of torque. It is a four-door sedan aimed to be 'premium without being premium'. The Kizashi is the largest car that Suzuki developed for the USA enthusiasts since the Verona, another re-badged version of a GM Daewoo product that was discontinued due to low sales.

Measuring in with 183.1” long, the Suzuki model rides a 106.3” wheelbase and stands 58.3” tall. The model is available in S, SE, GTS, and SLS trim levels. Front wheel is standard and available on all trims, with an optional all wheel drive. The S, GTS, and SLS were presented with manual transmission. The last two trims are new for 2011. The SE adds the automatic transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control and power driver's seat. The sport GTS trim includes 18-inch wheel, sun roof, steering wheel shift paddles and 425-watt audio-system. The SLS features three-stage heated seats, heated mirrors, rear parking sensors and automatic on/off headlamps. The Kizashi engine produces 185 horsepower when paired with six-speed manual and 180hp with continuously variable transmission. The fuel economy of Kizashi is 31mpg in the highway and 21 mpg on the city roads. The Suzuki Kizashi is a great choice for those who wish to have a thrilling experience of driving their sedan.

The Suzuki aimed to impress the customers with Kizashi's feature list. It includes eight airbags, keyless start, dual-zone climate control, power windows, EPS stability control and ABS, projector beam headlights, ambient and footwell lighting. It is obvious that Suzuki has thought about the interior feel, with soft touch plastics, fabrics and leather on all the parts of the interior. Rear-seat comfort is aided by a fold-down armrest with a pair of cupholders that leads to a ski pass-through. And it couldn't stay aside that Suzuki Kizashi won two Motoring Awards in New Zealand: Supreme winner in the 2010 AA Motoring Excellence Award and the New Zealand Herald Car of the Year Award. The car was noted for its amazing attention to detail and comfort when it comes to any Kizashi parts.
