Scratch Protector Towels
Scratch Protector came into being after a search for detailing towels for personal cars came up short. The Chicago-based firm’s owners simply weren’t happy with the towels they could get at the auto parts store or the commercial laundry services that serviced body shops and detailing services. After much research, a lot of car-washing, a big pile of dirty microfiber and synthetic cloths the result is the Scratch Protector brand of cotton detailing cloths.

Scratch Protector Towels are made from extremely high-quality low-twist, super-absorbent cotton fiber. Unlike microfiber, which holds dirt so that it scratches the car surface, ultra-soft cotton won’t let surface dirt lifted from one part of your car scratch the rest of it. They even go to the trouble to hem the edges with more soft cotton thread, rather than a scratchier synthetic.
Scratch protectors are made from the best low-twist cotton that can be had. With different colored hems, you’ll be able to keep each towel dedicated to a single purpose: washing, applying wax and buffing out polish, for instance. These towels will last hundreds of uses and washings, so they’re far more economical than single-use towels. Scratch Protector Towels can simply be machine-washed with liquid detergent and dried normally.
Much of the microfiber on the market today, at least the cloths that are sold for automotive use are inexpensive fabric that’s intended for a single use then thrown away. That’s true for almost any microfiber fabric rated less than 400 GSM (Grams per Square Meter) or below. Some microfiber, intended for use as garments rather than cleaning products, are not "split microfiber", and don’t absorb moisture like they should. Microfiber is also difficult to wash: it needs to be washed separately from cotton or it will clog with fibers and lose effectiveness. It also needs to be air-dried at very low heat or the fibers actually start to melt, similarly losing their absorbency. Skip the fabric softener, as the waxy softener will reduce absorbency.
I am very choosy when it comes to towels for washing and drying my car, so I have decided to read some reviews about this product before I decided to purchase it. After reading several positive feedback, I bought a pack! It is 100% premium cotton.

These are super absorbent and extremely durable. They dry quickly and leave no noticeable lint behind. We've been using some as dish towels also. They are cute.

These are the best cotton towels I have ever used. I clean everything in my house with them. They don't scratch, they don't leave lint, and they clean like a dream. Great product.

I used Premium Super Soft Towel for my F-250. They are also great to have around the kitchen, in clean up kits around the house and in the laundry room. Since they are so absorbent, they are also great to have for wiping down shower doors after usage. Good product at a fair price.

I used to each color for a specific task: wash, wax, and polish. It is handily. I clean my car with one of these about every other week and I have always enjoyed working with them.
