Saturn S-series Trailer Hitches

    About Saturn S-series Trailer Hitches

In as much as any hitch can fit onto any car, it is good to be aware that hitches have different classes as well as different functions. Find all kinds of Saturn S-Series trailer hitches to choose from at CARiD. Your choice of hitch will depend on your towing needs and the size of your trailer. It is also important to know that hitches are divided into several categories. There is the weight bearing hitch, the weight distributing hitch, the 5th wheel hitch and finally the gooseneck hitch. A weight bearing hitch will take all the weight of the trailer tongue and the mass will be taken onto the suspension of the hitch. When this happens, the front tires of your car will end up being lighter. This is not a safe thing. The weight distributing hitch has spring bars that distribute some of the weight of the trailer onto the front tires, making the car more stable. The gooseneck and 5th wheel hitches are more suitable for heavy trailers and pickup cars. They are more suitable because they place the weight of the trailer’s tongue on the car’s rear axle, which in turn makes it easy to drive in crosswinds as the trailer will stay behind the bumper the entire time.

At CARiD, you will choose from the best manufacturers of custom Saturn S-Series trailer hitches. Some of the brand names they have in stock are CURT, Pro Series, Hidden Hitch, Rugged Ridge, Reese and Draw Tite. These products are very durable and are made to high quality standards. Simply put, they are the best that money can buy. You will also be offered a life time warranty when you purchase the Saturn S-Series trailer hitches as well as a manual from the manufacturer that will assist you with the hitch installation.

When you’re setting up your trailer with a new tow vehicle, several things need to be considered: the ball mount and ball must be rated to take the weight, and the ball has to be at the right height. Once you have determined the proper weight class, choose a ball mount of a high enough class for your trailer, and set up your ball mount and ball for proper towing. Here's how you do that.

"Good connector. It was easy to install and the ends have nice factory style connectors, so you can just plug them into the existing connectors (vs splicing the wires in like some other brands do). I did have to cut and splice the yellow wire because it came up short, but it may have been due to where I attached the box and/or where I routed the wires (not a big deal either way). If you splice any wires, I recommend you solder or crimp the splice and then apply liquid electrical tape and shrink tubing over that. I was pleased with this product."

"Good-looking hitch. Welds looked nice and surface/paint was nice and smooth. I recommend you go a ½ copper tube fitting brush to clean out the thread holes (or a similar small wire brush). Once I got the brush and cleaned out the holes in the frame, the installation went smooth. I’m pleased with my purchase."
