Pro Series Accessories

Universal Solo™ Cargo Carrier for 2" Receivers (1040100) by Pro Series®. 400 lbs, 32"x48" Platform with 3" Side Rails. Versatile cargo solutions allow you to take your friends or the whole family's gear along for the ride. Plug one of these cargo carriers into your receiver hitch receptacle. If your cargo carrier has lights (necessary if your cargo is large enough to obscure your tail lights), just plug them into the trailer light connector. One-year warranty.

Pro Series

Features:

  • Fits standard receiver hitch receptacles
  • Some models fold up for compactness when in transit or storage
  • Some models swing away for rear access to vehicle
  • Add a light kit for carrying bulky cargo that obscures vehicle tail light
  • Easy, ground-level loading and unloading
  • Fits into short garage spaces where roof racks can't
  • Bungee or tie-down holes provided

Specifications:

  • Finish: Black Powder Coat
  • Capacity: 400 lbs.

Sometimes you just have too much stuff to take it along inside the car; and with everyone downsizing, cars are getting smaller. Sure, there's always the popular roof rack, but not everyone is tall enough or strong enough to load and unload a roof rack. Garage door clearance may prohibit the use of a roof rack, too. And sometimes you need to carry around some things that you don't want to put inside the car. For example: gas cans (empty or full), freshly killed game, a used lawnmower, a muddy dirtbike, you get the idea. Instead of trading in your car for a pickup, consider a cargo carrier. It simply slips into your standard receiver hitch, and will hold many hundreds of pounds, far more than you could reasonably put on the roof.

Cargo carriers are available in different styles and with different missions. The simplest style is a simple steel rack. This is handy, but may preclude the use of the rear door, tailgate or hatch when loaded. You may want to consider a carrier that swings away to allow access. Cargo Carriers are notorious knee-knockers when installed, so many models will fold up vertically to keep them out of the way when they're not in use carrying cargo.

If your cargo carrier comes without tail lights, you may want to add a set if your cargo is large enough to obscure your vehicle tail lights. These lights simply plug into your trailer connector next to the hitch.

Pro Series offers the best values and one of the widest product lines in the towing market. A diverse selection of products including 5th wheel, gooseneck, weight distribution and receiver hitches, jacks, couplers, winches, trailer brake controls, trailer breakaway systems and cargo management items are a few of the items available from an extensive system of Dealers and installers throughout the U.S. and Canada. Cargo carrier would have been nice if the bike rack could hook into the back of this cargo basket. Be I am an engineer, I will figure it out. Other than that, easy to assemble and install.
