Pontiac Trans Am Performance Exhausts

Two words aptly describe the Pontiac Trans Am: muscle and speed. This 2-door sports car has tremendous power packed under its hood, giving you the terrific feeling of being in charge. It gives phenomenal acceleration at record speed. But even such stunning performance can be improved by replacing the stock exhaust system with a performance exhaust system from CARiD. Performance Pontiac Trans Am exhaust systems are available in a wide range to suit even the earliest Trans Am models. Custom built Pontiac Trans Am exhaust systems enhance performance by facilitating efficient scavenging of all cylinders and leaving enough room for fresh air to flow in. As a result, you get increased horsepower and torque gains. Fuel economy becomes a reality as well, thanks to the increased efficiency within the engine. You should notice an increase in your fuel mileage. However, these gains would be meaningless if you had to replace the stock exhaust system due to rusting. Fortunately, aftermarket exhaust systems are rust-proof, all thanks to their stainless steel structure.

Manufacturers give a lifetime warranty with each Pontiac Trans Am exhaust system as an assurance of the exhaust’s quality. You will never have to purchase a second exhaust pipe for as long as you own the vehicle, as the warranty covers the exhaust for the entire period the car is in use. Performance exhaust systems also produce great sound to go with the now powerful engine. You can modify the deep reverberation to a level you prefer. High quality sound is also maintained for a long time and is achieved by the integration of a sophisticated engineering process that ensures zero audio deterioration. In addition, performance Pontiac Trans Am exhaust systems come with hand polished exhaust tips to enhance the beauty of your car. Installing Pontiac Trans Am exhaust systems does not take long and with the installation manual it comes with, you’ll get it right the first time round.

Regardless of whether you're shopping for a simple replacement muffler that delivers original equipment (OE) sound and performance or an upgraded muffler which provides a deeper growl with increased power through freer exhaust flow, you'll see choices between "direct fit" mufflers and "universal" mufflers. In this article, we'll help you understand the differences...
It has been a battle of the ages to make exhaust sound like it should. Having less bends or turns will not only improve the sound but also performance. A custom exhaust is always an option for the race inspired and spirited weekend warriors. Our manufactures offer everything needed to build a custom exhaust to your preference.
Headers are installed because the stock exhaust manifolds usually flow poorly. An exhaust header has individual tubes for each exhaust port, allowing each exhaust pulse to flow unobstructed from the cylinder head. The tubes on headers are usually larger in diameter than the runners on an exhaust manifold and the tubes are mandrel bent for gradual radius bends.

I’ve bought this x-exhaust system for my son. I like that the material is stainless steel and it will work for John’s Corvett for a long time. He is a utility-man, so installed the system himself with no hassle. It seems to me that I pleased my son.
