The history of the famous Pontiac brand traces back to 1893, when the Pontiac Buggy Company was established. Originally specialized in horse-drawn carriages, it began producing motor vehicles in 1907, that same year it received a new name - Oakland Motor Car Company. Two years later, GM bought a stake in it. The first Pontiac car saw the world in 1926, equipped with a 6-cylinder engine that enabled it to outperform any 4-cylinder car of that time but still being affordable. The brand was recognized for giving the world the first muscle car - the Pontiac GTO, unveiled in 1964. It started a new era of fast and powerful cars, a new trend that soon became imitated by other brands.

From humble beginnings as a company providing horse-drawn carriages, Pontiac evolved into an internationally recognized manufacturer of some of the most extraordinary, legendary cars, which has made its mark on today's automotive design. To keep providing the spirited drive, your Pontiac needs all its systems to operate properly. Fluids and lubricants are what help components to run efficiently and with minimum friction. In our online store, we offer quality Pontiac oils, fluids, and lubricants for CV joints, disc brake calipers, and more. From transmission fluids to fuel additives, here you'll get anything you need to complete the maintenance job.

Antifreeze Explained: What It Does And Why It's Needed
"Antifreeze" is a chemical, primarily consisting of ethylene glycol, which when mixed with water serves to lower the freezing point and raise the boiling point of the mixture. Traditionally, the combination of antifreeze and water is known as "coolant". As opposed to air-cooled vehicles which rely on fan-driven air blowing over engine components, water-cooled engines use a radiator, water pump, thermostat, heater core, hoses, and passageways within the engine.

How To Perform An Automatic Transmission Fluid & Filter Service
In this installment, we'll give you the steps for replacing the transmission fluid and fluid filter inside your vehicle's automatic transmission – saving you several hundred dollars by sparing you a visit to the shop. This maintenance procedure is a straightforward one, and it's important for the overall longevity of your transmission. The engineers that built your car tested it thoroughly, and they know more than anyone on earth does about its breaking points and how to keep mechanical components healthy, so following your vehicle manufacturer's recommended service intervals is essential. While draining a trans pan and refilling it only replaces one-half to two-thirds of your overall fluid (the rest remains inside the torque converter), don't let it diminish the importance of keeping your automatic trans fluid (ATF) fresh.

Used this for my Chevy and it worked really well. Also i found there the best price for this type of fluid. I'm sure that with DOT 5.1 my vehicle will work in any cold winter.
