EUFORIA RUN FLAT Summer / Performance Tires by Pirelli®. The eufori@ is Pirelli's first Ultra High Performance run-flat tire developed for sports cars, sporty coupes and high performance sedans. All eufori@ tires feature Pirelli Self-Supporting Run Flat Technology that enhances safety and convenience by providing temporary extended mobility in the event a puncture allows complete loss of air pressure. This technology allows tires to literally "run flat" for up to 50 miles at 50 mph (80 km at 80 km/h) unless otherwise specified by the vehicle manufacturer for Original Equipment tires. Like all summer tires, eufori@ tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
- Optimized tread pattern design enhances handling and control
- Unique grooves improve grip and roadholding
- Improved composite ensures maximum structural integrity
The eufori@ tires feature compact shoulder blocks to enhance lateral stiffness and cornering force in dry conditions, while circumferential grooves help drain water to resist hydroplaning in wet conditions. A production process that assures consistency in the application of the additional sidewall reinforcements that provide the self-supporting run-flat capability.
Pirelli's extended mobility solution is made possible by their MIRS computer-controlled robotized manufacturing system.
Run Flat tires mean safety. They provide improved control over your car in emergency situations, and allow you to continue driving safely even during a rapid loss of air pressure. So, if your tire is punctured, with the Pirelli Self-Supporting Run Flat you can continue driving for a while. Due to certain speed and distance restrictions (50 mph for 50 miles), it's imperative that motorists be notified of a tire pressure loss, and therefore the vehicle must be equipped with a TPMS. After the low pressure warning is shown, the condition of the remaining tires and the TPMS should be checked immediately by a specialized dealer. Damaged Run Flat tires should be replaced immediately with another set.
For safe driving in winter too, winter tires are formulated with specific compound and an optimized treas pattern to ensure adherence and traction in cold weather conditions. Winter tires are at their best in lower temperatures, especially in rain and snow, but also on dry asphalt.
Pirelli tires has a quite stiff construction and does not usually require higher inflation pressures. It is designed for use at a pressure of approximately 2 bar, to be adjusted according to the type of car. The figures indicated refer to the “operating pressure”: the pressure of the tire when it is fully warmed up to working temperature. For accurate calibration, it is essential to consider that the difference in temperature between a “cold” tire and a “hot” one is quite significant, normally 0.5 bar.
Pirelli recommends the use of ordinary compressed air to inflate the tires, provided that the above procedures are followed. No special gases, such as nitrogen, are required unless the source of air is exposed to excessive humidity.
Always use a high-quality air pressure gauge in order to obtain reliable results. We also recommend that the valve stems of the wheels should be metal, instead of rubber, as they are more resistant to high temperatures.204.34 485.34
