Today Nissan North America revealed the prices for the 2012 Sentra and Sentra SE-R. The entry-level Sentra is priced at $16,060. The Sentra 2.0 6MT is powered by a 140-hp 2.0-liter engine, coupled with either six-speed manual gearbox or Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission. The standard options of this trim also include Vehicle Dynamic Control, CD audio system, air conditioning with in-cab microfilter and six air bags. The Nissan Sentra 2.0 CTV and S CTV are also present in the 2012 portfolio with $17,240 and $17,990 respectively.
Nissan will ask to pay $17,990 for its 2012 Sentra 2.0 SR. The Japanese auto manufacturer will continue to offer a Special Edition package for this trim level. The 2012 Sentra SE-R Spec V 2.5L 6 MT is the most expensive trim in the lineup. This sporty version is priced at $20,620. Currently this performance-oriented sedan along with the Sentra SE-R CVT are not available. The auto producer will start shipping these models in August. The SE-R Spec V comes with a 200hp 2.5-liter power unit and a 6-speed-close-ratio manual transmission. Large 12.6 front brakes, sport-tuned suspension and summer performance tires are also a part of the standard package.
