About Nissan Rogue

The Nissan Rogue is a compact crossover SUV that was introduced for the 2008 model year. It first debuted at the North American International Auto Show in January of 2007 before making its arrival into dealerships by October of that year. The Nissan Rogue is constructed off of the automaker's "C" platform along with the Sentra. For the first generation, the Rogue is a five-door hatchback equipped with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that is capable of producing 170 HP and 175 lb. ft. of torque. The engine is mated to Nissan's Continuous Variable Transmission and comes standard with front-wheel drive. As for the model's overall dimensions, the Rogue measures in with a wheelbase of 105.9 inches, a width of 70.9 inches, a height of 65.3 inches, and an overall length of 182.9 inches. The Nissan Rogue is available in two trim levels: S and SL. Both the Rogue S and SL are also available with all-wheel drive.

With the base S trim level, drivers get standard power accessories, air conditioning, an AM/FM CD stereo system, cruise control, side-curtain airbags, antilock brakes, remote keyless-entry, and stability control. The SL offers more amenities, which include leather upholstery, premium Bose audio system, moonroof, 17" alloy wheels, roof rails, rear tinted glass, polished exhaust tip, and body-color power exterior mirrors. Other options for the SL are xenon HID headlights, fog lights, eight-speaker stereo system, and paddle shifters. When it comes to safety, the Nissan Rogue stands near the front of the pack in its segment. The Rogue is outfitted with a bevy of standard safety features such as front airbags, side-impact airbags, side-curtain airbags with rollover sensors, ABS brakes with brake-assist and electronic brake-force distribution, traction control, anti-skid control, and tire pressure monitoring system.

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration gave the Nissan Rogue five stars for its frontal and side-impact crash ratings. The Nissan Rogue was named a contender for Motor Trend magazine's prestigious Sport/Utility of the Year (2008) and also a Consumer Digest Best Buy (2009). Completely redesigned for the 2014 model year, the Nissan Rogue offers a much larger backseat, significantly more cargo capacity, higher fuel economy ratings and a longer list of safety features compared to the previous model. Its interior dramatically differs from the old Rogue with its first-time optional third-row seating, which offers space for up to seven passengers. When it comes to exterior changes, the 2014 Nissan Rogue is shorter in length, taller in height and wider by 1.5 inches, while its wheelbase has been stretched by more than half an inch.

With its exterior styling treatments, underbody covers, panels, and air deflectors, this SUV boasts a 10 percent reduction in aerodynamic drag delivering a clear advantage over the previous model. The Nissan Rogue offers not only efficient performance but also showcases a dynamic and luxurious design. The 2014 Rogue is a stylish and distinctive SUV that features not only high-quality and durable parts that work in unison, but also a number of exclusive accessories that build its unique look.

The grille on your car or truck is its most distinctive feature, and the first thing people notice when you’re coming down the road. In fact, the grille on some vehicles is so recognizable that most car buffs can tell the make and model with just a glance. The mats fit like a dream in my brand new Rogue! The first thing I do when I get a new vehicle is to order WeatherTech mats. I had purchased similar mats for my CRV and thanks to these mats, my carpets stilled looked brand new when I finally sold the vehicle after driving it for 5 years and 100,000 miles rain, snow, mud, and everyday dirt and grime wash right off. It is worth the investment if you like to keep your car looking good.
