Nissan Hardbody Trailer Hitches

    About Nissan Hardbody Trailer Hitches

The Nissan Hardbody has impressive off roader credentials. It has a strong engine and finely tuned suspension. The ride quality is great and the handling superb. The Nissan Hardbody has a substantial cargo area allowing you reasonable space to carry most of your heavy stuff. It also has tremendous towing capability. A trailer can only enhance its utility value. You can easily tow a large boat or a bicycle rack behind you. You need a high quality trailer hitch to ensure no breakdowns along the way. Products from CARiD have stood the test of time. They are popular for providing reliable products from the most reputable manufacturers such as CURT, HIDDEN HITCH, TOW READY and ONKI among others. CARiD stocks different types of Nisan Hardbody trailer hitches to meet the varying needs of its customers. These include weight-carrying hitches, weight-distribution hitches, Gooseneck hitches and 5th wheel hitches. Gooseneck and 5th wheel trailer hitches are best suited for larger trailers.

Trailers usually shift 10% of their weight onto the tongue. You need to ensure proper weight distribution across the trailer. Statistics identify insufficient tongue weight as the main cause of trailer sway. The trailer allows the driver to drive in crosswinds because the trailer does not attempt to steer the car from behind. It also shortens the rig because a portion of the rig lies atop the truck bed. Installation required some drilling to be done. The manufacturers provide a template to enable you place the holes properly. Once the hitch is set up, you are at liberty to tow as much as possible without the fear of experiencing a breakdown. Nissan Hardbody trailer hitches are durable and resilient. They have a black powdered covering that prevents corrosion from taking place. In addition, the dealers provide a nationwide lifetime warranty guaranteeing the quality and workmanship of the product. You can rest assured that the manufacturer will take care of any defects that may arise over time.

When you’re setting up your trailer with a new tow vehicle, several things need to be considered: the ball mount and ball must be rated to take the weight, and the ball has to be at the right height. Once you have determined the proper weight class, choose a ball mount of a high enough class for your trailer, and set up your ball mount and ball for proper towing. Here's how you do that.

"Took a little longer than expected to arrive, but my guess is that it was due to the heavy weight of the box. Item arrived undamaged, though I doubt it would have made a difference in this case. Installation was mostly straightforward except for one issue, a muffler bracket was slightly in the way preventing the holes from lining up perfectly. I had to use a grinder to notch the corner of the bracket to accommodate, but 10 minutes later after the notch and a blast from a can of rustoleum spray paint the first side was bolted in no problem. On my Rogue particularly one side of the existing frame holes were rusted and took quite a bit of cleaning out to be able to thread the provided bolts, but that was my car's issue and nothing to do with the product. All in all, installation on this is definitely above beginner as the need for breaker bar to loosen old rusted bolts and need to slightly modify the product with tools that the average Joe may not have puts this solidly in the "intermediate" category in my opinion. Otherwise the item is solid and well built, definitely can take the rated load, and once modified fit perfectly to the existing bolt holes in the frame. I'm completely satisfied with the product at the price paid."

"Product is exactly as shown on the website. Excellent construction and appearance. I choose the black step as it matched my black hitch. Installation is simple. You only need an adjustable wrench. Very functional for stepping up to reach bikes or cargo on my roof rack when towing my camper. Very pleased."
