It's been two years since news about rebirth of Nissan 200SX originated, and the rumors took place until CEO Carlos Ghosn brought out this year that this project had been cancelled.
As per US website Inside Line, now the refreshed focus on sports cars by rivals Subaru and Toyota urged Nissan on reviving the popular sports car. Recognized as Silvia in Jappan (also among the model's followers), the upcoming 200SX, apparenlty, will feature a shortened version of the FR-L platform found in the 370Z and the Skyline.
This report gave fans certain hopes in recent years to find a new version of the tuner-favourite 200SX being developed. New reports however imply that Nissan has put the plans for new rear-driven entry-level sports car aside, driven by an internal announcement out of the accounts department which states that no more than 30,000 sales are possible in the US each year for a 200SX successor.
