Mercury Capri Trailer Hitches

    About Mercury Capri Trailer Hitches

There are many uses that come with the Mercury Capri trailer hitches. Oftentimes you will realize that the family vehicles that are in the market cannot cope with luggage of certain weight or volume. This is more obvious when it comes to taking family holidays or just taking a tour to the countryside with friends, but at the same time you need to haul some luggage. You cam use a trailer hitch to haul boats, campers, or any other luggage that the Capri cannot handle. Basically, there are two types of Mercury Capri trailer hitches and which will do an excellent job under most circumstances. There is the receiver type hitch which is ideally meant to allow the carriage to be fixed to the car. You will use a bolt or a lock to secure the open end of the hatch that is part of the car. Then there is the fixed drawbar hitch, which is quite common in off road cars and SUVs. They do have a bar that protrudes from the rear of the car but instead of it having a receiver end; it has a knob which gets fixed to the carriage.

Depending on which hitch you choose, it is pretty easy to fix the carriage. When you’re setting up your trailer with a new tow vehicle, several things need to be considered: the ball mount and ball must be rated to take the weight, and the ball has to be at the right height. Once you have determined the proper weight class, choose a ball mount of a high enough class for your trailer, and set up your ball mount and ball for proper towing. Here's how you do that.

"I used the website to guide me to the available options for this product. It recommended the 5.8 inch size, which turned out to be incorrect. I guess I would have wished the website would have asked more information about my vehicle, before recommending this one, or at least ask for VIN. It might save some expenses for RMAs' and extra shipping. Just a thought..."
