The Mercedes CLA Class is expected to be unveiled in the year 2013. Analysts expect it to be modeled along the lines of the Mercedes CLS Class. They also predict a turbocharged 2L four cylinder engine. Also expect automatic transmission together with all the other safety features that accompany Mercedes cars. But like other cars, the Mercedes CLA Class also needs the efficiency of a performance exhaust system from CARiD. Reason being, stock exhaust systems typically restrict exhaust flow thereby limiting engine performance. This scenario also brings up other problems such as increased fuel consumption and perennial maintenance costs due to rusting. To avoid such problems, install the Mercedes CLA Class exhaust system from CARiD and get rewards in the form of great performance, fuel economies and powerful sound. Aftermarket exhaust systems provide relief by reducing back pressure in the cylinders causing an increase in exhaust gas evacuation and rapid inflow of fresh oxygen. The rewards expected are exciting! Your engine will be expected to produce up to 10% more horsepower and torque.

The aftermarket Mercedes CLA Class exhaust system produces a deep primal growl, matching the power of your car. You have the option of selecting the sound you like, subject to legal requirements. The great sound produced is also guaranteed to last because the acoustics are packaged in a manner that does not allow sound degradation. Aftermarket systems are not susceptible to rust. They are made from austenitic stainless steel, a hardened metal that does not corrode. Moreover, each purchase comes with a lifetime warranty guaranteeing the quality of workmanship and materials used in its construction. Indeed the fact that these systems are used on race cars and stealth fighters speaks volumes regarding quality of the said products. Installation may be done at the local repair shop or better yet, install it yourself using the instruction manual as a guide.

Engines have often been compared to air pumps, because the engine that’s most efficient in terms of economy and power is the one that can get air in and out of its cylinders the easiest. That’s why most performance modifications like conical air filters, cold air intake systems, headers, and cat-back exhaust systems are aimed at making the intake and exhaust systems less restrictive. These parts increase the flow of air into the engine and ease the flow of exhaust gas out of the engine. Among these components, headers may be the most difficult to install. In this article, we’ll discuss what headers do, their different types, and how much performance they can add to your car.

You may be wondering why so many aftermarket performance exhaust system manufacturers are offering dual exhaust systems connected by "H-pipe" or "X-pipe" sections. After all, aren't two separate pipes, or so-called "true duals", the best for performance? The answer is no, but to understand why we have to examine how a typical internal combustion engine works.

It's an age-old question that many have asked. Will an aftermarket exhaust be worth the expense? While they definitely can be, an important question to ask yourself is do you care more about the deeper sound they’re designed to produce, or the added performance gained from being less restrictive? As car enthusiasts, we’ve become accustomed to associating the sound of a car with its exhaust. After all, doesn’t everyone have a childhood memory or two of a car and the particular sound it made?

Regardless of whether you're shopping for a simple replacement muffler that delivers original equipment (OE) sound and performance or an upgraded muffler which provides a deeper growl with increased power through freer exhaust flow, you'll see choices between "direct fit" mufflers and "universal" mufflers. In this article, we'll help you understand the differences between these two styles so you can make a more informed purchase.
