Mazda 2 Trailer Hitches

    About Mazda 2 Trailer Hitches

The Mazda 2 has a sharp styling design and head turning sporty looks. It has a great ride quality and competent handling. The Mazda’s engine is strong and powerful. Combining this with a firm suspension gives the Mazda 2 a powerful towing capacity. The only drawback here is the limited cargo area. However, a trailer attached to its back would more than compensate for this shortfall. A trailer would be of immense help to you. You need not hire another vehicle when you have heavy stuff to move around such as home improvement stuff. A trailer will also enable you to go for that fishing trip you have always longed for. Believe it or not, the Mazda 2 can pull a boat all the way to the lake. And a trailer hitch from CARiD will be of tremendous help in actualizing this goal. However, your first order of business is to determine your Mazda’s towing capacity. This will help you identify the appropriate trailer for your car and consequently the right hitch for the trailer.

Mazda 2 trailer hitches are made by the most reputable brands. Names such as CURT, REESE and TOW READY among others are renowned for their unwavering commitment to top quality production. Trailer hitches come in different forms. There are weight-bearing hitches and weight-distribution hitch for the small and medium trailers. Gooseneck and 5th wheel trailer hitches are best to use when hauling pickups and larger trailers to your Mazda 2. Trailer hitches are designed to provide precise fitment to a specific car make and model. You can expect to find a trailer hitch that fits your Mazda 2 appropriately at CARiD. Trailer hitches are fully welded, so designed to bolt onto your vehicle without much fuss. No drilling is required to install the hitch. When you’re setting up your trailer with a new tow vehicle, several things need to be considered: the ball mount and ball must be rated to take the weight, and the ball has to be at the right height. Once you have determined the proper weight class, choose a ball mount of a high enough class for your trailer, and set up your ball mount and ball for proper towing. Here's how you do that.

"Very impressed with CARiD, as my hitch was delivered in 3 days. No problems there. The hitch has excellent quality and nice powder coat finish. But the actual installation... Well, don't try to do it yourself unless you can raise the car high enough to get adequate work room. I took it to my mechanic, and even on the hoist, it took over an hour. But it's on now and solid with no problems. Very happy when it was all complete. Using it for a bike carrier, Yakima, so this hitch is going to be great. Very happy with CURT hitch."

"Arrived quickly. Easy to install, but it had over an inch of play between the frame and mounting points and I felt that tightening the bolt could have torn the frame, so I put thick washers between the hitch and the frame and still had a lot of space that the frame had to bend and fill. The hitch should have been made at least 3/8 inch wider to limit this frame stress. Also, the mounting plates should have been wrapped so they both did not land up tearing thorough the cardboard box and have the paint chipped off so I had to repaint them before mounting the hitch. "I have purchased several other items from CARiD in the past. They have all been top quality, as is this hitch cover. It installs easily and is made of stainless steel, so it won't corrode. It makes a nice appearance, looks like factory OEM equipment. "
