Universal Adjustable Replacement Temperature Switch by Maradyne®. This switch operates an electric radiator fan depending on engine water temperature. The fan ON temperature is adjustable from 32°F to 240°F, and will go back off when the temperature has dropped approximately 20°F. This is the switch and probe only, no wiring is included, but mounting hardware is.

Wiring an electrically-operated fan into your vehicle is simple with the use of Maradyne’s prewired kits. Start by wiring the lead from the fuseholder to the battery directly. This bypasses the vehicle’s electrical system, so you don’t have to decide which fuse has enough extra capacity to power your fans, and then splice into the underhood wiring loom to access that circuit. These harnesses have a connector to mate with the connector on the fan, so all you need to connect next is the thermostat, A/C compressor, or other switch, and a suitable ground connection. The relay-style harness comes supplied with a 30-Amp fuse; this should be replaced with one rated approximately 25-50% higher than the fan’s current rating. The appropriate fuse rating is included in the fan’s installation instructions.
