This inverter/charger is ideal for use in renewable energy applications where there are smaller power needs. Enclosed in a modern, hourglass case, this inverter is designed for easy installation and use, with a die-cast aluminum base plate that serves as a heat sink for cooler, more efficient operation. The unit is also fan cooled, so it will work well even when mounted in confined spaces. If temperature limits are exceeded, the inverter will automatically shut down to protect itself and then restart when sufficiently cooled.
This inverter also includes other protection features: it will automatically shut down if output wattage is exceeded or if a short in the wiring is detected. If battery voltage goes below or above a cut-out setting, the unit will shut down, and every model comes with built-in input and output circuit breakers. The inverter comes with a front mounted on/off switch and easy-to-read LED indicator and a standard 20 amp transfer relay that will pass AC power through the inverter when using grid or generator power. A battery temperature sensor monitors battery temperature from 32°F to 122°F. Like every Magnum Energy inverter/charger, this unit includes a built-in PFC charger that uses 25-30% less AC current than standard chargers.
Magnum Energy is a leading manufacturer of Inverter/Chargers for Mobile and Renewable Energy applications. These devices convert DC current to AC to power electronics and appliances, and convert AC current to DC to recharge batteries. The company has over 150 years combined experience in the design and manufacture of inverter/chargers, and builds some of the industry’s most reliable, advanced, and cost effective units at their state-of-the-art facility in Everett, Washington.
