    2013 Lexus GS 350 Announced

Lexus decided to unveil its all-new 2013 GS 350 F Sport sedan a week before its debut at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. New model, just like other F models, is notable for performance, offering plenty of attitude. The upgraded car will debut at SEMA on November 1.

The F Sport package includes sport-tuned adaptive suspension, thicker anti-roll bars, new bushing, bigger brakes up front, and a set of 19-inch wheels. The VGRS (Variable Gear Ratio Steering) comes as a standard equipment for rear-drive models. The car's interior is upgraded with the help of new 16-way power driver’s sport seat, exclusive trim, and the unique Cabernet Red leather interior.

Equipped with an advanced 305 hp 3.5-liter V6 engine found in the GS 350, the new model needs only 5.7 seconds to hit 60 mph and 3 seconds to accelerate from 30 to 50 mph. The included all-wheel drive system is meant to provide the GS 350 F Sport with the enhanced traction as well.

Named as a "distinctive offering of luxury and excitement" by Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager, the dynamic car is expected to please the enthusiasts.

Japanese earthquake and tsunami caused significant loss in sales of Lexus vehicles. The Lexus 11-year reign as the top selling luxury brand in the U.S. may come to an end. Still it is unknown whether the brand will rebound to the top sales in 2012 or not. The leading analyst suggested that the brand is on its way to repeat the Buick's history.

Lexus Division general manager Mark Templin said, “Lexus sales are expected to decrease by 17 percent to 190,000 in 2011. A difficult first half saw Lexus selling 88,010 vehicles as rivals BMW and Mercedes-Benz moved 113,705 and 110,926 units, respectively. That gap will likely prove too great for Lexus to overcome during the second half of 2011.” The information is based on the June sales, many dealerships had about half their normal stock.

At the recent media event in Chicago Templin stated, “June was the bottom of the trough, and we’ve turned the corner. We see the rest of the year being much better for us,” he also added that most Japanese plants are back to full operating capacity. The difficulties in production were caused by the supply shortages because of the devastation in Japan.

Lexus Company Released New CT 200h model

Lexus company introduced a new CT 200h model which is the world first compact luxury hybrid. To create this model Lexus designers and engineers used Toyota's MC platform sharing the one with Prius, though CT 200h has a shorter wheelbase and was highly modified in various areas. Double-wishbone rear suspension improves the dynamics of the vehicle. This type of suspension lets the tires follow the road much better than the solid rear axle which is common among smaller cars.

Engineers made it possible to adjust the drivetrain to your mood. Several models allow to make driving as comfortable as possible. EV (electric vehicle) mode will make CT 200h stay on electrics as long as possible. Eco and Normal models are mpg oriented. Sport mode will make your Lexus' steering and throttle more responsive improving stability and traction control so you can fling the car a bit harder.

The new Lexus CT 200h looks attractive, seems almost as if it would be more at home as a premium offering within Toyota's Scion lineup. The interior of the vehicle is very inviting and comfortable. The price for that styling is the cramped back seat comparing with the Toyota Prius, from which CT gets its underpinnings.
