Lamborghini Murcielago Makes It Into Forbes Top 10 List

Forbes, the purveyor of beautiful life reports and trends, has unveiled its top 10 list of the most expensive rides in the world for 2011. The gold medal in this competition was given to Bugatti Veyron Super Sport with its price tag of $2.6 million.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce appears to be the second most “affordable” vehicle on this list, being priced at $455,400. It’s interesting that the Murcielago LP670-4 has never been considered the best supercar on the market and taking that to account, such an eye-watering price would seem ridiculous to many. However, most of the test drive reports you can find on the Web claim that if any vehicle could ever make a driver feel like Superman, this is it.

The LP670-4 SV is the lightest model in the Murcielago series, which was launched way back in 2001 on the slopes of Etna in Sicily. Equipped with a V12 6.5L engine that produces 670-hp, it’s also the fastest and most powerful Lamborghini ever produced. The Super Veloce is capable of reaching 60 mph in less than 3.2 seconds and developing a max speed of 212 mph.

Apparently, the SV is a beast in a pussycat skin and if you have a spare half million dollars, that’s definitely a car option to consider. Now approved by Forbes.
