The Jeep Patriot, for instance, is fitted with a navigation system, Bluetooth technology, a real time system featuring weather, current gas prices, traffic updates and sports. However, in spite of such revolutionary enhancements the Patriot still requires cannot give impressive performance without an aftermarket Jeep Patriot exhaust system. CARiD has the finest quality of custom Jeep Patriot exhaust Systems. A custom exhaust is needed to replace the stock exhaust system, which creates high pressure within the system, thereby slowing down the exhaust gas evacuation. Consequently, the engine cannot perform to its maximum potential since it does not have access to enough clean air to allow production of power.

Jeep Patriot exhaust systems change all that. They create a low pressure environment that allows the fast evacuation of exhaust gases and rapid inflow of oxygen. This rapid inflow and outflow process gives the engine the power it needs to produce increased horse power and torque. In addition, the sound produced by this aftermarket exhaust systems is revolutionary. It produces a deep throaty reverberation synonymous to that of a race car. Engines have often been compared to air pumps, because the engine that’s most efficient in terms of economy and power is the one that can get air in and out of its cylinders the easiest. That’s why most performance modifications like conical air filters, cold air intake systems, headers, and cat-back exhaust systems are aimed at making the intake and exhaust systems less restrictive. These parts increase the flow of air into the engine and ease the flow of exhaust gas out of the engine. Among these components, headers may be the most difficult to install. In this article, we’ll discuss what headers do, their different types, and how much performance they can add to your car.

You may be wondering why so many aftermarket performance exhaust system manufacturers are offering dual exhaust systems connected by "H-pipe" or "X-pipe" sections. After all, aren't two separate pipes, or so-called "true duals", the best for performance? The answer is no, but to understand why we have to examine how a typical internal combustion engine works.

It's an age-old question that many have asked. Will an aftermarket exhaust be worth the expense? While they definitely can be, an important question to ask yourself is do you care more about the deeper sound they’re designed to produce, or the added performance gained from being less restrictive? As car enthusiasts, we’ve become accustomed to associating the sound of a car with its exhaust. After all, doesn’t everyone have a childhood memory or two of a car and the particular sound it made?

2011 Jeep Patriot Latitude Edition 2.4l
I bought this item thinking it would fit perfectly on my Jeep. Boy was I wrong! I didn't read the (AWD only models) because there's one part that will hit your diff if you have a AWD model. so I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning the item and I wanted a new exhaust. So I ended up going to my local muffler shop and they made one part out of the whole assembly to make it fit. So I have a modified Magnaflow exhaust that gave me more horsepower/mpg and a better sound!
