The world-known British brand revealed the 2012 Jaguar XF at the New York Auto Show held in April, 2011. The 2012 Jaguar XF' design changes set the vehicle in-line with Jaguar XJ flagship model. The facelift of the sedan includes revised hood, rear apron, grille and front fenders incorporating new triangular side vents. Plus, there are Bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, and redesigned LED taillights. 2012 Jaguar XF is offered in three new exterior colors and new alloy wheels selection ranging from 18 to 20 inch. The interior is further improved with new technologies and high-end materials. The vehicle's interior changes include revised switchgear, improved seats, a digital instrument cluster, new infotainment system and 7-inch Touch-screen with additional buttons, and a revised graphics palette.
The key among the improvements to 2012 Jaguar XF is a new four-cylinder 2.2-liter diesel engine, producing 190 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. This new engine is considered to be the most fuel-efficient engine in the Jaguar XF lineup. Moreover, this diesel engine offers the premium performance expected of a sports salon produced by Jaguar. The 2.2-liter diesel is complemented with all-new 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, that enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 8.0 seconds to hit a peak speed of 140 mph, and produce CO2 emission of 149g/km. The Jaguar's new Intelligent Stop/Start system and Adaptive Dynamics system also debuted along with above mentioned diesel engine and gearbox.
