Hypertech Proves More MPG With EPA/CARB-Recognized Lab Tests
Hypertech users have been raving about their increased power and reporting 2 to 6 more miles-per-gallon for years. When reports from police officers across the country confirmed a 2.5 MPG gain, the company put their tuning methods to the test at a EPA/CARB - recognized lab, Automotive Testing Laboratory in Mesa, Arizona. The results from their EPA drive cycle test used for calculating OEM fuel economy, proved a 13.67% mile-per-gallon increase taking the Ford Crown Victoria from 18.42 MPG stock to 20.94 MPG tuned. That’s a 2.52 MPG gain!
Hypertech sent their diesel trucks to another EPA/CARB-recognized lab that specializes in diesel testing, Olson Ecologic in Fullerton, California. The results from their EPA transient cycle testing proved a 9.73% increase in fuel efficiency with Hypertech's tuning, confirming their customers MPG gain reports.
You won't see these tests performed by other tuning companies. Only Hypertech has the confidence to stand by the results, and willingness to invest thousands of dollars to obtain EPA drive cycle results.
According to Hypertech founder and president, Mark Heffington, "Hypertech has developed specific tuning optimization techniques that maximize engine power and efficiency, to deliver the highest power gains for accelerating, towing, smooth transmission operation and improved drivability while increasing fuel mileage and maintaining clean emissions."
Max Energy Power Tuning delivered in both the Max Energy and ECON programmers extracts every bit of energy possible out of every molecule of fuel giving you more miles at part-throttle and more power at wide-open throttle. In order to increase engine efficiency, horsepower and torque, engineers optimize the spark and fuel curves point by point over the entire RPM band. With the additional power and optimized transmission functions, drivers use less fuel to accelerate and maintain cruising speeds without the torque converter un-locking and transmission downshifting to a lower gear. The results are maximum power and fuel mileage.
From the beginning, Hypertech has included meeting all CARB EO requirements in its product development process. This guarantees that Hypertech "Power Tuning" products are not detrimental to ambient air quality and will meet or exceed emissions certification. Hypertech has obtained or is pending CARB EOs for all its emissions-related products.
