Hyundai has recently thrown some light on the renovated Hyundai Grandeur, known here as Azera, in its home market. The all-new upper scale sedan was partially unwrapped through a promo video, which gives us a hint at what the 2012 Hyundai Azera will look like.
The refurbished vehicle boasts a premier design, slotting itself between Sonata and Genesis in the mid-sized luxury sedan segment. Among the main changes applied to the 2012 model are a slightly bolder grille, re-designed headlamps, LED taillights and bumper, as well as improved seating arrangement. The promo video reveals only a minor part of the Azeras new interior, though its quite clear that it comes in concord with the overall upscale style of the car.
There has been no official insight under the hood yet, but the new Azera is expected to come with two engine options - a 3.3L V6 producing 260 horsepower and a 3.8L unit to generate a bulky output of 305-hp.
Public presentation of the new Hyundai Azera is expected to take place at either Chicago Auto Show in February or New York Auto Show later this year. The model is likely to arrive at the U.S. dealerships in the mid 2011.
