Product Details

Lower Non-Adjustable Trailing Arms (1305) by Hotchkis®. Quantity: 2 per Pack. This is a set of replacement trailing arms designed as an upgrade with heavy gauge reinforced steel that provides higher-than-OEM strength and rigidity to eliminate flex which allows rear axle to shift sideways during heavy cornering. Keeps individual wheels pointed straight and in alignment for superior handling and control. Heavy gauge steel is joined together by TIG welding which provides the cleanest, most even bonds for higher strength. Greasable polyurethane bushings offer smooth travel without unwanted squish or decay. Durable powder coat finish resists corrosion, scratches, contaminants, and discoloration.

When a powerful vehicle with a solid rear axle is under heavy throttle, axles can shift out of alignment because of weak OEM trailing arms that are supposed to keep it locked in place – causing excess strain and wear of U-joints and related seals. Hotchkis offers replacement trailing arms that prevent those problems by rigidly keeping axles affixed in position. Each arm is built with a higher grade of steel than OEM-spec trailing arms, increasing stiffness so that the driver truly benefits from the vehicle control gained by proper suspension geometry, alignment, and tire grip. Thick, .12” wall steel tubing is joined together by a Tungsten Gas Insert (TIG) welding process that provides the cleanest welds that provide an even level of bonding strength on all areas – eliminating inconsistencies which create weak points and areas prone to metal fatigue or failure.

An outer finish of durable powder coat is applied to ensure peeling, discoloration, and deterioration are eliminated while long-term corrosion protection is ensured. Should you need to remove the trailing arms at a future point for any reason, stainless steel hardware will make it easy because there won’t be a need to deal with seized and rusted nuts or bolts. Polyurethane bushings that are also included provide superior cushioning to prevent harsh vibrations being transferred to the passenger area, and their resilient nature won’t compromise your vehicle’s handling by squishing flat the way rubber will. Polyurethane also offers the ability to perform extremely well under extreme temperatures and resist collapsing, deforming, or crumbling after being exposed to road grime, salt, and leaking oils. Hotchkis builds all components in the United States, and backs them against failure due to manufacturing defects for three years.

Founded in Santa Fe Springs, California in the late 1960s during the height of the original muscle car boom, Hotchkis® got its start building products that blessed GM, Mopar, and Ford performance cars with new abilities to corner and handle with stability at racetrack speeds. As the company's reputation for building quality products grew, Hotchkis components soon found their way onto all kinds of vehicles that were not made to go fast in any way, shape, or form. It didn't take long before station wagons, convertibles, and pickup trucks were wheeling around tracks all over Southern California with the tenacity of sports cars. After decades of developing suspension-enhancing products that have led to victories in championship racing events, slalom track competitions, and street challenges, Hotchkis has refined and perfected their manufacturing techniques to become the internationally respected company they are today.
