- Second generation silica tread compound
- V- Shaped directional tread with grooves from center to shoulder
- Flat belt contour, shallow slots and increased tread depth in shoulder area
- Advanced sound reduction technology and continuously varying groove angles
The Grabber UHP uses General Tire's second-generation, ultra-high performance silica tread compound molded into a directional tread design that features wide shoulder blocks on top of an optimized contour to combine responsive handling with exceptional wet and dry traction. Advanced sound reduction technology and continuously varying groove angles work together to reduce noise and deliver an impressively quiet ride.
The Grabber UHP’s V-shaped tread design delivers impressive control in wet driving conditions. The directional tread pattern and high void ratio work to effectively sweep water away from between the tire’s contact patch and the road surface to reduce the possibility of hydroplaning and improve wet grip. The tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by a spirally-wound jointless nylon cap ply, on top of polyester body plies, to combine responsive handling and cornering stability with high-speed durability.
