Freightliner Trucks Inc. was officially established in 1942. That same year, the first Freightliner’s vehicle was introduced. However, Freightliner began its activity in the early 1930s, when Consolidated Freightways, the freight services and logistics company, decided to improve the trucks used in its fleet. Soon after modified trucks began to appear on North American roads, other companies started showing interest in new vehicles that had some obvious advantages over most offerings of the time. This, eventually, inspired Consolidated Freightways to separate the Freightliner brand and launch the development and production of its own trucks. Currently, Freightliner Trucks is one of leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles. It is oriented primarily on North American customers.

Like the brake system, steering is crucial for vehicle’s safety. And it’s particularly important if we consider huge, heavy trucks that Freightliner’s lineup comprises at large. On our virtual shelves, you’ll find a full range of top-quality Freightliner steering parts. Aiming to guarantee excellence of our offerings, we’ve forged close links with the most reputable, globally-renowned aftermarket suppliers of steering wheels, control arms, power steering lines, etc.

Do I Have a Steering Rack or a Steering Box Connected to My Wheel?
Automotive Terminology can throw you a curve ball, when you hear certain terms which might be used interchangeably, or may indicate different systems used on different cars. Take steering: perhaps your uncle said that the steering box on his truck is worn and needs replacement, then your brother said that his steering rack is leaking and needs replacement.
