There are few types of transmission available for both types: a 5-, 6-, 9 -speed direct manual, Allison 2000/3000 series electronically controlled automatic transmission; 4-, 5-speed mechanical; and 5-, 6-speed electronic transmission. The FC 70 and FC 80 are available with such advanced parts as Meritor Q Plus air brakes and Meritor WABCO Anti-Lock Brake System.

Compared to similar conventional trucks, the agile Cargo has a shorter overall length and wheelbase. The FC 70 and FC 80 operate on the city roads with perfect maneuverability.
