Ford is an American brand that is known by practically everyone. Not only is this one of the biggest auto companies in the world, it’s also one of the oldest, possessing a very rich and interesting history. The Ford Company was established in 1901 by Henry Ford. This was a scientist, businessman, and visionary all in one. Henry Ford’s company became successful and grew to become the behemoth it is today because it provided cars that the average consumer could afford. Today, Ford’s vision remains alive, and the company’s dedication to quality and fair pricing stays unwavering. The Ford Taurus is a great representation of these qualities, and you can make it even better by investing in Ford Taurus caliper covers from CARiD.
As you might guess from their name, caliper covers are meant to be installed on the caliper. This is a part of the brake that works as a clamp and slows down wheel movement. Unfortunately, the caliper tends to get worn out with time, losing color and friction, sometimes even getting clogged with brake dust. If you want to avoid all these things from happening, all you need to do is install these covers, which will serve as comprehensive protection from the elements and dust.
Being the easiest way to enhance the appearance of your vehicle, caliper covers provide you with that special and unique style your vehicle really deserves. Whether you want to finish the sporty image with the red caliper covers or need something matching your vehicle's paint, we store the right set of caliper covers for you. Each single accessory promises easy installation, convenient maintenance, and dependable performance. And as soon as you have your caliper covers installed, you'll stay and wonder what you did without them. You are welcome to read 6 caliper cover reviews with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars, and find the accessory that reflects your sense of style.
"Might still have to spray the back of the calipers to cover them up as I had sprayed it black still as it still showed a 'lil bit and to put on wasn't that bad! The clamps can be rubbing/making noise and it took me about an hour to put them all on. Then I drove around about another hour and stopping every 100 ft to adjust the clamps to make sure it wasn't rubbing and making a noise. So I had a long flat head screwdriver in my car and my friend hopping out every couple of mins to adjust, 2 people a lot easier, but it was only 1 of them that was giving me a problem. So overall took about 2 hours and that's with only 1 out of 4 having a rubbing problem so maybe you'll get lucky and put them on right the first time and have no rubbing. I suggest try to adjust and bend them when putting them on. But overall, they look great and if u have a 2nd person and a couple of hours it's worth it. The price is ok, I suppose but I feel it's on the expensive end. Hope this helps you guys, but def looks good and covers up those rusty calipers (spray them also just to cover the back part of the caliper)!"
"look great, installation was a little tight on a couple of the calipers. The mounting bracket rubbed on the edge of the rotor. Even when they were tightened down, they were a little wiggly on the back rotors quality was fine. the carbon covers were a little too pricey for me"
"I agonized whether to purchase these since most mods I do are functional rather than cosmetic but I'm glad I went for it because they look great. The install was as advertised. Easy enough, though I had a little rubbing and had to bend the clips a little but now they are perfect. In fact, I've had a couple of positive comments about these. Go figure that people would notice something like that. CARID was a pleasure to work with. The price was fair, the delivery was on time. I will buy from them again."
"The quality of the covers are outstanding and installation was a breeze. The mounting system is quite ingenious and works great. Only problem encountered was the fact that the 2010 SHO had a Ford brake upgrade which reduced clearance on the front brakes. MGP has wheel spacers that solved the problem but it would have been nice had they been included with the covers. I have been informed that all 2010 SHO orders will now include the required spacers at no additional cost."
