Ford F-Series Exhaust Systems

The Ford F-Series goes down as one of Ford’s most well-thought out car models of its time. Celebrate your Ford F-Series with an upgrade to keep it in pristine condition without necessarily making changes to the engine. A Ford F-Series custom exhaust system will help you achieve this. Pick the custom exhaust system built for your F-Series model at CARiD and enjoy a jump in engine power output. CARiD has a huge range of exhausts for 1988 – 1997 F-Series models. Any F-Series direct replacement exhaust system from Borla, Gibson, MagnaFlow, dB, and Flowmaster is an excellent choice and will give you between 5 and 10% more power. You may also want to consider supplementing the power of your new exhaust system with a performance header, catalytic converter, muffler or exhaust kit from the same brands mentioned above or equally good ones like Onki, RBP, MBRP, Zunden and Weapon-R. Combining a complete exhaust system with a performance exhaust component will further increase your power output by up to 20hp.

The Ford F-Series sounds so much better when fitted with a custom exhaust system. It attains a distinct aggressive note, which becomes more pronounced at cruising speeds, but remains contained even at the highest rpm. Our F-Series custom exhausts systems perfectly cancel out engine vibrations and noise, keeping the cabin quiet and free of the irritating drone that is common in cars fitted with stock exhaust systems. Durability and lasting performance make a custom Ford F-Series exhaust system a wise investment. It does not wear out quickly, nor does it require a replacement after just a short time. The exhaust will serve your car for years and with the backing of the lifetime warranty it comes with, you have no reason to worry.

Regardless of whether you're shopping for a simple replacement muffler that delivers original equipment (OE) sound and performance or an upgraded muffler which provides a deeper growl with increased power through freer exhaust flow, you'll see choices between "direct fit" mufflers and "universal" mufflers. It has been a battle of the ages to make exhaust sound like it should. Having less bends or turns will not only improve the sound but also performance. A custom exhaust is always an option for the race inspired and spirited weekend warriors. Our manufactures offer everything needed to build a custom exhaust to your preference.
Headers are installed because the stock exhaust manifolds usually flow poorly. An exhaust header has individual tubes for each exhaust port, allowing each exhaust pulse to flow unobstructed from the cylinder head. The tubes on headers are usually larger in diameter than the runners on an exhaust manifold and the tubes are mandrel bent for gradual radius bends.
