Molded vs Flat Dash KitsMolded vs Flat Dash Kits
There are two types of dashboard kits available on the market today: flat and molded. The difference between these two is based on the shape of the dashboard a vehicle has. Some cars are coming out with a flat panel while others have a board that is curved around the edges or in 3D shapes. Correspondingly, molded dash kits are suitable for the latter kind of the dashboard, whereas flat dash kits are perfect for the first-mentioned type.
Many people think that the genuine material always is better than materials imitating other materials. Even if the real wood is encased in plastic materials it cannot be completely isolated from the environment. Modern synthetic wood materials are so similar to the original that it takes the eye of a true expert to tell them apart.

"Hi, I just finished adding this kit to my Ford F150. I had previously installed the dash kit and it turned a regular XLT interior to looking like a King Ranch. Good quality product and easy to install."

"I have done a lot of things to dress up my Pick Ups over the years, but this for the money has the others all beat. It was easy to install, about 2 hours and everything fit to a T. It looked so good that I decided to do my wife's Escape also."

"The kit made a tremendous difference in the appearence of my truck. The factory woodgrain match was perfect. The installation was not overly difficult. Prep of the surfaces is critical. The on line video of the installation was very helpful. The finished job turned out great. I'm going to order another kit for my Corolla."

"Be very stingy where you put the adhesive enhancer, It needs to be used where the tight curves are. They do not supply enough enhancer to use on all surfaces, and I had to use my own adhesive to secure the hard curve above the passenger air vent. The enhancer also evaporates very fast so open it and use it fast before applicator goes dry. The fitment was good, and if you are very carefull, all edges will meet very nicely, but be sure and pre-fit to decide where the original dash edges will show. It is not cut so that perfect placement will hide orig dash completely. When you are placing, be aware that once it touches, it is pretty much set. With very carefull pressure, small spots can be lifted, but pretty much it touches, it's down, without pressure. Final pressure and it holds very well where adhesive enhancer has been used. It does look nice when completed and I believe you will be happy if you pay attention to what I have said.""
