The all-aluminum radiator core is fully hand welded to the Flex-a-fit patented sidetank technology. The radiator is an essential part of any vehicle’s cooling system. That is to say, the radiator is something your vehicle can’t afford to lose. It ransfers heat from the hot coolant that flows through it to the air blown by the fan. The coolant flows from the inlet to the outlet through many horizontal and vertical-finned tubes. And the amount of heat transferred to the tubes directly depends on the difference in the temperature between the fluid and tube. Well, this is how the process works.

When it comes to radiator replacement, it’s vital that you choose a high-quality part. We offer to cool your power plant with the coolest radiator on the market – the Flex-a-lite radiator! This design features the internal fins that absorb heat more quickly from the engine coolant, and the external fins that increase the surface area threefold to maximize heat transfer. In fact, these sidetanks dissipate heat 130 percent more effectively compared to a typical aluminum radiator tank, and also 41 percent more efficiently than a brass radiator tank.

Flex-a-lite is a third-generation business that has been in the automotive industry for over half a century. In 1962, Eddy Davis, who was an Army Air Corps pilot in England during the Second World War, set up Flex-a-lite with the original ‘flex fan’ concept. The company is currently based in Fife, Washington, and run by Lisa Chissus, Eddy’s granddaughter. Lisa is the one who invented the now patented Flex-a-fit radiator sidetank design that provides superior heat transfer. Though Flex-a-lite continues to look for innovative performance cooling solutions, one thing that hasn't changed since the company's foundation is that all products are still engineered and manufactured in the USA, with American hands.
