Chrysler company announced the recall of the 2007 Dodge Nitro sport-utility vehicles. The problem is that the engines may stall suddenly. The Chrysler Company said, that the recalled vehicles experience power interruptions, the engine may also restart even if the vehicle was in motion. To fix this problem the power module will be reprogrammed to remove the potential of a brief interruption of electrical power to the instrument panel and the engine.
The NHTSA opened investigation after receiving numerous complains about the stalling engines. The Chrysler said that they received 180 complains about the engines stalling. One incident have occurred though no injuries have been reported. The Chrysler AP said that the work will be completed at no cost to the consumers.
