The Daewoo Leganza, produced by the South Korean car manufacturing company Daewoo Motors in 1997-2002, was a front-wheel drive mid-size sedan, with the name originating from the combination of two Italian words: elegante (elegant) and forza (power). This company 'flagship' was the largest and the most expensive Daewoo model, and it entered the North American market in 1999. The Leganza was powered by a DOHC 2.2L four-cylinder petrol engine producing 134 horsepower. The body style, a lot parts and accessories were created by a famous Italian vehicle design bureau Italdesign led by Giorgetto Giugiaro.

The Daewoo Leganza was suggested in the SE, SX, and CDX trims. While the 4-speed automatic transmission was a standard part for the SX and CDX versions, it was optional for the SE modification, which was completed with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The tilt steering wheel, power locks and windows, footlights, rear defogger, and keyless entry with a theft-deterrent system were included in the list of standard Daewoo Leganza parts. The SX trim featured power steering, cruise control, six-way power driver seat, cassette\CD player, and leather upholstery. The automatic climate control, alloy wheels, traction control and power sunroof were added to the top-line CDX version.

The Leganza made Daewoo the third Korean company selling passenger cars in the U.S. (after Kia and Hyundai). Daewoo provided owners of their cars with the roadside assistance program, but by the 2002 it ceased with the American market. The model production was discontinued in 2002, still its V200 platform appeared in the Suzuki Verona model. The Leganza's successor the Daewoo Tosca was launched in 2007 under the Chevrolet Epica nameplate.
