About Cadillac Escalade

One of America's premier luxury SUVs, the Cadillac Escalade needs no introduction. The Escalade represents the finest in sport utility excellence. It debuted in 1998 but it wasn't until 2002 when the model began to make headlines. That's because the first generation Escalade was a little more than a rebadged version of the GMC Yukon Denali. Featuring a 5.3L V8 with all-wheel drive or a Vortec 6.0L V8, the second generation of the Escalade got off to a very good start. The interior has been upgraded with a refined dash console and instrument panel.

Cadillac started upping the ante in 2003, offering power-adjustable pedals and 4-wheel drive, but it was in 2004 when the Cadillac Escalade underwent changes that would propel it to the top of the luxury SUV segment. For 2004, 20" chrome wheels, satellite radio, a special tire-pressure monitoring system, and second-row bucket seats (EXT excluded) were added. The Platinum edition was introduced in 2005, featuring a chrome accented grille area, 20" chrome wheels, three DVD monitors, power moon roof, heated/cooled cup holders, and other accessories. In 2007, the Escalade moved to the new GMT900 platform, got power-enhancing parts, and was refined a bit more. Seating capacity was increased to nine passengers and the engine employed was a 6.2L Vortec V8, capable of 403 horsepower.

Cadillac has managed to ensure that the Escalade remains a primary option for those shopping within the luxury SUV segment. To keep up with the industry, the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid was introduced in 2008. It is powered by a 6L V8 engine which forms a basis for uncompromising performance and provides supreme ride comfort thanks to heated seats, remote-engine start, navigation, a DVD player, and a rearview camera. The 2015 Cadillac Escalade, even more advanced and more luxurious than ever before, marked the fourth generation of the Cadillac flagship SUV. It received upgraded exterior and interior designs, as well as new safety features. Under the hood, the 2015 Escalade has a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces best-in-class 420 horsepower and 460 lb. ft. of torque and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in about 6 seconds, which makes it one of the quickest full-size SUVs available.

Dynamic, fashionable, and powerful, the Cadillac Escalade represents an essence of luxury in SUV class. With delightfully responsive handling, superior drivability, and bold design, it has become the number one choice for those who demand reliability and exclusiveness. The Escalade boasts an exterior design invoking both elegance and strength, which makes this vehicle an authority figure on the road that commands great respect.

There's a saying that advises out of all the paths you take in life, it's important to make sure a few of them are dirt. But while dirt can be found most anywhere you leave the pavement, far more challenging conditions and obstacles lie in wait - some seen, and some unseen. Because no two people's definitions of off-roading will be quite the same, we offer...
Ask any serious off-roading expert what type of rear bumper is best for your 4x4, and they'll tell you the best bumper for extreme use (such as rock crawling) is one that's barely even there. What does that mean exactly? Translated, it means bumpers with edges that angle upward at corners and undersides that slope drastically upward will keep you out of...
Since the demise of built-in running boards after World War II, auto manufacturers have been using rocker panel moldings to dress up a vehicle area that would otherwise be plain-looking and nondescript. Technically, a rocker panel is the section of a vehicle’s body below the doors and between the front and rear wheel wells. For decades, stainless steel molding...

2003 Cadillac Escalade | Posted by Phillip | (Homestead, FL)

I was surprised that what I actually received were aluminum spacers and not the polyurethane ones as described. How ever they work just as good were easy to install and make my ride a lot smoother.
