Cadillac ATS Performance Exhausts

About Cadillac ATS Performance Exhaust Systems

Give your Cadillac ATS room to deliver more with a custom exhaust system from CARiD. Aftermarket exhaust systems for the ATS work in two main ways: increasing exhaust flow and reducing backpressure. The stock exhaust is rather narrow, and this inhibits the volume of waste gas that can be expelled from the system at a one. Custom exhausts on the other hand, feature wider pipes for smooth flow of spent gases. When more used gas is eliminated in a consistent flow, the congestion around the engine is eliminated, and this leaves the engine free to produce more power. The car’s torque amount is also boosted so that it will exhibit more strength during tough driving. Cat back systems, axle-back systems and rear-back systems from Borla, Flowmaster, MagnaFlow, Gibson, Weapon-R and Onki will deliver the best results, giving you between 5-10% more horsepower and torque.

If you are a little hesitant about replacing the whole stock exhaust system, you have the option of installing custom exhaust components to get specific gains. ATS headers, pipes and catalytic converters from Borla, RBP, Gibson, Weapon-R, Zunden, Onki and MBRP will boost your engine power significantly, and are readily available at CARiD. Other than power gains and engine efficiency, an ATS custom exhaust will help you record a higher mpg, leading to a reduction in fuel costs. For many drivers, this is welcome news and especially because you do not have to change cars to benefit. ATS custom exhausts are easy to install and can be fitted within an hour in your garage. Alternatively, have a professional do the installation for you. It will probably take a shorter time.

It has been a battle of the ages to make exhaust sound like it should. Having less bends or turns will not only improve the sound but also performance. A custom exhaust is always an option for the race inspired and spirited weekend warriors. Our manufactures offer everything needed to build a custom exhaust to your preference.
The consensus opinion among exhaust flow experts is that any V8 engine will benefit from a dual exhaust system with an H-pipe or X-pipe. H-pipes were first installed to quiet this exhaust noise. As with the H-pipe, an X-pipe also affects the sound of the exhaust. With an X-pipe, the two sides of the exhaust system are merged. The exhaust pressure on both banks is equalized and power is increased at all engine speeds.

"I installed the E&G CLASSICS Stainless Exhaust Tips myself. At first I thought I’d have to take them to a muffler shop, but after trying them on myself I realized I could get them just right by cutting 3” off the pipe. The “Tips” are solid stainless and fit perfectly and give the finished look I wanted. Steve"
