According to the results of the 2011 Vehicle Dependability Study, the Buick Lucerne became a winner in the Large Car Segment. The car shared its victory with Ford Taurus and Chevrolet Impala. In total Buick received two awards. The Buick LaCrosse became a leader in the Midsize Car category.
This survey is held annually by J.D. Power&Associates, a global marketing company, which carries out the various researches in key business areas of different industries. The Vehicle Dependability Study is the so call A Voice of A Customer. This means the results are based on how the owners are satisfied with their vehicles. The examination itself was held from October till December 2010. More than 43,700 drivers of the cars, trucks and SUVs took part in the study. They were asked about the problems they faced during the everyday driving and maintenance.
The recently posted results demonstrates that the overall dependability of the cars has become higher. However, the auto manufacturers create new features and technologies.This may lead to the new problems. The answers, given by the vehicles' owners, help the automakers to improve their products that in its turn will increase the sales figures.
