The recent crash-test made for 2011 Buick Lacrosse is not an easy one. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave five stars to Buick's Lacrosse after putting it trough a new test that includes a pole impact test. The five-star general score was gained after totalizing five stars for front and side impacts together with four stars for the rollover prevention.
As for more details on 2011 Buick Lacrosse safety features, it has blind-spot monitor, safety belts with dual pretensioners, backup camera, set of airbags including side curtains plus a bunch of OnStar features. At the present moment not much cars went through this revised 2011 NHTSA test, especially midsize sedans like Lacrosse, and only few of those that did actually received such a top-rank reward. Four-door cars that did get the highest reward from NHTSA are 2011 BMW 5 Series, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima.
These are not the first Buick's five stars for the past few years, besides Lacrosse also 2011 Enclave crossover has got them at the end of 2010. So at the present moment Buick is a proud owner of two top safety rewards from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which is quite an achievement. As the president of Buick marketing, Tony Disalle, mentioned: Car buyers today want the peace of mind that comes with buying a vehicle they know will help protect their family, this five-star overall vehicle score for safety shows Buick can equip an affordable luxury midsize sedan with top safety features.
