Officially considered a Sports Activity Coupe by its BMW masterminds, the X6 bears all the trimmings of BMW power. Keep your X6 engine output high with a custom exhaust system from CARiD. Custom exhausts for the X6 are designed to boost engine performance, giving you extra horsepower and torque at lower rpm. This they do by maximizing exhaust flow so the engine does not lose power diffusing spent gases. Because the X6 custom exhausts are engineered to synchronize the turbocharged X6 engine, exhaust gases face minimal resistance as they pass through the engine and into the pipes. This leaves the engine free of inhibitions and able to generate more power. The exhausts are custom designed for all X6 trims and you are sure to find an exact match for your model. If you have a 2009 X6, a custom exhaust will help pump up engine power to levels seen in the current 2013 models. Best exhaust options for maximum power include Borla, MagnaFlow, AFE, and Flowmaster.

X6 custom exhausts give an improved sound and drown all exhaust noises and vibrations. Generally, the new engine note you will get is deep and clear, but you can choose an exhaust that gives the kind of note you want. You do not have to put up with a stock exhaust note that you have no control of. Get a great, new sound with a custom exhaust system from CARiD and you will finally be able to listen to other parts of your car. Where a noisy, stock exhaust note prevents you from hearing what other parts of the car sound like, a custom exhaust creates a balance that allows you to hear what you car really sounds like when driving, and you can quickly tell when something is wrong with the car.

Engines have often been compared to air pumps, because the engine that’s most efficient in terms of economy and power is the one that can get air in and out of its cylinders the easiest. That’s why most performance modifications like conical air filters, cold air intake systems, headers, and cat-back exhaust systems are aimed at making the intake and exhaust systems less restrictive. These parts increase the flow of air into the engine and ease the flow of exhaust gas out of the engine. Among these components, headers may be the most difficult to install. In this article, we’ll discuss what headers do, their different types, and how much performance they can add to your car.

You may be wondering why so many aftermarket performance exhaust system manufacturers are offering dual exhaust systems connected by "H-pipe" or "X-pipe" sections. After all, aren't two separate pipes, or so-called "true duals", the best for performance? The answer is no, but to understand why we have to examine how a typical internal combustion engine works.

It's an age-old question that many have asked. Will an aftermarket exhaust be worth the expense? While they definitely can be, an important question to ask yourself is do you care more about the deeper sound they’re designed to produce, or the added performance gained from being less restrictive? As car enthusiasts, we’ve become accustomed to associating the sound of a car with its exhaust. After all, doesn’t everyone have a childhood memory or two of a car and the particular sound it made?

Regardless of whether you're shopping for a simple replacement muffler that delivers original equipment (OE) sound and performance or an upgraded muffler which provides a deeper growl with increased power through freer exhaust flow, you'll see choices between "direct fit" mufflers and "universal" mufflers. In this article, we'll help you understand the differences between these two styles so you can make a more informed purchase.

    Supper Cool Sound!
I bought this for my Mitsubishi and it sounds awesome! It's got a 3.5 l v6 and it makes it sound like its very souped up! And almost like it has a v8 in it. I couldn't be more happy with this product the sound will blow your mind on whatever you choose to put it on whether it be a six cylinder like I put it on or a v8 very much recommend this product if you want a really nearly sound.
