In 1954, BILSTEIN was the first to realise the potential offered by an idea of Prof. Bourcier de Carbon, a French researcher in the field of vibrations. The aim was to eliminate the physical disadvantages of the conventional telescopic shock absorbers, whilst at the same time making the dampers lighter and able to be fitted in any position.Product Reviews (44)

Product looked amazing out of the box and fitment was perfect! I have the 4" of lift shocks and instantly noticed a remarkable difference in ride quality after installing. Much more smoother ride with hardly and bump vibrations. Definitely a true competitor to other high quality shocks. Was this review helpful for you? Shocks are bad as$, got all 4 for my 03 Jeep WJ along with a 2.5 bb kit, they work amazing! Drives great on highway and even better on the trail! My only complaint is that only the front came with new hardware, and only for the top mounts.. No bottom hardware or back at all. Wasn't happy about that but a trip to the hardware store, problem solved, and I got grade 10.Was this review helpful for you? I put these on my 2013 fx4. Elected to buy the 0 to 2 inch setting 5100's. The shocks had four perches for the height settings. I used the third setting and truck looks great. I also put the Bilstein 4600 on the rear. Now I have a 1 inch rake. Perfect, rides awesome. Was this review helpful for you? The leveling struts are great, I set it on the 1.75" (third ring up) and my 4runner is dead level. Looks great and rides super smooth. My 4runner had the Xreas linked suspension system, and was worried about losing the features of that with these socks/struts, but needn't have. This set up is way better, I highly recommend switching to Bilsteins all around. Firm but plush on the road but spake up the big bumps with ease. My first attempt at installing struts, and I must say if it's your first time, these are a challenge to put on. First one took me three hours to figure out, second was much easier. Great price for a great ride. Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:(4.5)APPEARANCEEASE OF INSTALLATIONPRICE/VALUEQUALITY2009 Chevy Silverado

The shocks themselves look great, I ordered 2 front along with 2 rear shocks. The performance since putting them on, especially since my originals I found were shot(at least the fronts) has been astounding although the truck to me rides better than it ever did and is surprisingly smooth. Installation was fairly smooth, although it was a bit of a pain compressing the shock to bring it up where it needed to be bolted in but that's to be expected of a working shock. It's not very complicated at all on a Chevy 2500 and most existing hardware save for the nut at the top(new one is supplied to fit shock threads) of the front shock is re-used. Awesome product; would and will order these again whether I hit another 50k-100k miles or buy a new truck. Was this review helpful for you?
