Vehicle performance is traditionally measured by 0-60mph acceleration time, elapsed time (ET) and speed in the 1/4 mile, braking distance from 60mph, and G-Forces on the skid pad. If you’ve always speculated how your car would fare in these tests, now you can get the data with the Auto Meter D-PIC Gauge. Many performance modifications claim that they’ll add horsepower and chop 10ths of a second off your 1/4 mile ET. Now you can get real before and after data with the D-PIC.
Instead of needing multiple devices with complex wiring and installation to deliver performance data, the D-PIC is self-contained, and fits in a standard 2 1/16” gauge housing, so it can easily be installed in a pod, pillar, cup, or custom dash location, and has only 3 wires to connect. It features an LED array and digital display for easy viewing, and gauge mode and the information displayed can be easily selected using the buttons on the gauge face. The D-PIC comes in your choice of Cobalt, Ultra-Lite, Phantom, and Ford Racing style, so you can choose the one that best matches or complements your existing gauges.
The D-PIC can measure both fore and aft and lateral G-Forces and display the magnitude of the force with the LED array and instantaneous value on the digital display. The peak memory feature allows the highest G-Forces achieved in both exes to be recalled. 0-60 mph and 1/4 mile acceleration times are measured with precision. You can capture peak acceleration G-Forces and compare your latest efforts to a saved best, so you can see the difference between the two, and improve your driving skills and monitor how performance upgrades affect your vehicle’s performance.
Horsepower mode enables peak horsepower to the wheels to be calculated, so you can baseline and then see the change in data after performance mods.
Comprehensive operation and installation instructions are included with the D-PIC Gauge, and it’s covered by a limited 1-year warranty.
