Your hot rod will attract plenty of attention, but don’t get the kind you don’t want, the kind you get from LEOs (Law Enforcement Officers) when you exceed the speed limit. Depending on your locality, speeding tickets can result in hefty fines, court costs, points on your license, and increased insurance rates. You can prevent these headaches by installing an Auto Meter In-Dash Speedometer. Available in electric and mechanical drive, both feature Auto Meter’s famous high-performance movement for the utmost accuracy, easy to read full sweep 270 degree dials, odometer and resettable trip odometer.
The electric instruments are available in your choice of Chevy Vintage or Ultra-Lite styles. The Chevy Vintage gauge is the perfect instrument for any Chevy project, featuring a white dial with bright orange pointer, perimeter incandescent lighting, vintage style domed lens with bowtie logo, and chrome bezel in a 3 1/8” gauge housing. Lightweight Ultra-Lite gauges are a competition favorite, and this speedometer features an easy to read silver dial with high-contrast orange pointer, perimeter incandescent lighting, and silver anodized bezel in a 3 3/8” gauge housing. Both gauges are fully programmable, meaning their calibration can easily be changed if you decide to run a different final drive gear ratio or different size tires. They feature 0-120 MPH dials, and can be wired to aftermarket sending units like the Auto Meter 5291 or 5292 senders (sold separately) or OEM VSS. Complete wiring and installation instructions are included.
The Ultra-Lite gauge also comes with a mechanical drive and a 0-160 MPH dial, 5/8”-18 threaded cable input with 0.104” square drive, in a 5” gauge housing. The speedometer cable is not included.
The In-Dash Speedometer is covered by a limited 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
