The difference between winning and losing on the race track may be only a fraction of a second. No matter how much horsepower your car is making and how well the chassis is set up, you won’t be in the winner’s circle if you’re wasting time in the cockpit. The Digital Pro Shift System (DPSS) Gauge is designed to allow you to keep your eyes on the track and still monitor your engine speed. Instead of having to follow the pointer on an analog tach to know when to shift, the DPSS Gauge’s intensely bright, quick reacting LED shift light can be easily seen with your peripheral vision, so you’ll know when to shift without taking your eyes off the track.
The DPSS Gauge comes in 3 different levels. The level 1 gauge has a highly accurate and precise digital RPM display; the LED shift light, which can be set to one of 16 different brightness levels; easy, 3-button user programmable interface, which allows you to switch between modes and adjust settings quickly; and a single programmable shift point. When the digital RPM display reaches your desired shift point, the gauge will illuminate, alerting you to shift.
The level 2 gauge includes all the features of level 1 and adds 4-stage programmable shift points, launch light, progressive color shift change lights, and custom shift light color. The 4 programmable shift points allow you to tailor the shift point to the gear, for maximum power and traction. The launch light feature allows you to set a precise launch RPM from a dead stop; the LED lights illuminate when the launch point is reached and flash if the RPM is exceeded. The progressive color change system enables you to shift perfectly every time. As you near your shift point, the LED lights will illuminate with a solid yellow light, then switch to a blinking yellow light right before your shift point. At your shift point the LEDs will change color, alerting you to shift. Beyond your shift point the LEDs will turn red to notify you of a late shift. You can customize your shift point color to one of 7 different hues including red, blue, green, yellow, teal, magenta, and white, for optimum driver visibility.
The level 3 gauge includes all the features of level 1 and level 2 and adds a record feature that allows you to record up to 80 seconds of RPM activity. You can see where shifts were made early, late, and on time to help improve future run times. The DPSS Gauge can be connected to any Auto Meter tachometer to turn it into a playback tach, and view recorded data playback on the instrument face.
The DPSS Gauge comes in a 2 1/16” gauge housing, so it’s easy to mount in a cup, panel, or pod. It’s available in 6 different gauge styles to match popular Auto Meter gauges, including C2, Cobalt, NV, Phantom, Sport-Comp, and Ultra-Lite, and it’s compatible with most 1 to 12-cylinder engines with points, electronic ignition, distributorless ignition, and most 12V high-performance racing ignitions. Comprehensive user and installation instructions are included and the DPSS Gauge is backed by a limited 1-year warranty.165.70 220.92
