Audi Trailer Hitches

    About Audi Trailer Hitches

Have you ever felt that your Audi doesn’t have enough space for you to take everything you need on a long journey? A trailer is the perfect solution. Not only does the trailer influence many aspects of your vehicle’s performance, it adds a lot of weight to the rear of your car - about 10 percent of the trailer’s weight is carried by the rear part of your automobile. This amount of weight (which actually varies: 10% of an empty trailer and of a trailer with a boat on it give different amounts of pressure) may cause your Audi’s rear to overweigh the front heavily, making steering difficult. Thus, the demand for a technologically advanced solution arises - a way to connect your vehicle and the trailer, that won’t cause your car to become less productive or even worse - unstable on the road. offers a wide range of Audi trailer hitches. You can find weight-carrying, weight-distributing as well as gooseneck hitches. Each type has been developed for a certain kind of trailer with many different aspects in mind (for example - how balanced your trailer is or what it is suited for). We have all you need to start your adventure with everything you deem necessary to take with you, even if it is a home on wheels with your whole family in it. Set sails!

Here at CARiD we have a loyal set of customers, and they are very involved with their cars. That means using them in many ways, or racing them or towing them to car shows on trailers. There are four major types of trailer hitches, regardless of whether they are installed at the factory or added on afterward. A hitch may simply have a bar sticking out past the bumper with a ball mounted to it. Or there may be a square receiver that takes a ball mount that slides into it. In all cases, there are different weight ratings.

Trailer lights always seem to be out, or intermittent, or making the turn signals blink too fast. It’s a non-stop case of whack-a-mole to keep your trailer lit up properly, here’s some advice on how to reduce your maintenance investment. "My wife insisted on a bike carrier for her 2013 Audi A4. I didn't want to ruin the looks of the car, but I know I have to keep her happy. After some investigation on the web, this hitch seemed to fit the bill. It would work fine with a bike carrier and not be too visible. My neighbor owns an auto-body shop so I had him install it. Less than an hour to have it installed. Worth the $50 charge. It works great with the new Yakima bike carrier and it really doesn't look too bad. It is a very solid hitch and meets our needs. My wife is happy!"

"If you own a Audi, VW, or Porsche SUV and plan to tow anything with it, this is a must have. It keeps the warning lights from coming up on the dash, and it simple and play installation. "
