    Meet the Restyled 2013 Audi A5

    Audi is back again with its redesigned 2013 Audi A5. The new vehicle features a 2.0-liter TFSI engine good for 211 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The A5 has quattro all-wheel drive system mated to the standard six-speed manual and optional eight-speed tiptronic® transmission. Aluminum components of trapezoidal-link rear suspension and five-link front suspension provide sharp handling and are optimized to minimize weight. The interior of the vehicle features reconfigured infotainment and climate controls and new, elegant surface finishes. The chrome trim can be found at the controls, and the steering wheel comes with chrome and high-gloss inlays.

    The refreshed Audi A5 offers several new technology features including enhanced active lane assist and adaptive cruise control with ''brake guard'' and ''stop & go'' capability. Another innovative service offered with the vehicle is Audi connect™, an infotainment system that features a unique level of integrated connectivity. Due to Audi Connect, the MMI® Navigation system was enhanced with real-time SiriusXM Traffic information and Google Earth™ maps. The service also features news, real-time localized weather, live fuel prices, and other required information for a driver through the factory-installed wireless internet.

    The newly redesigned Audi A5 became available for sale at the territory of the USA in June 2012 and debuted as 2013 model.

    Recently there was revealed a freshened 2012 A5 lineup. The update includes several new engines for all A5 versions: Coupe, Convertible, Sportback and S. All A5 models received new front and tail lights as well as bumpers of an absolutely new design. The new front end design includes pronounced air inlets, restyled grilles and new fog lights. The hood became a bit wider giving the vehicle more aggressive look. The changes made to the upgraded models made their bodies 0.4 inches longer than the previous models. Interior improvements include the restyled steering wheel, updated design elements, new shifting lever for automatic cars and even a new ignition key. The interior color palette is also extended including various upholstery options.

    The engines have been tweaked and gained 11 percent plus fuel efficiency comparing to the previous options. The A5 models offered for the US market will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines giving the power output near 211 hp, though there will be also available a 3.0L supercharged V6 producing 272 hp. The 2012 S5 Cabrio model will be fitted with a 333 hp 3.0 TFSI engine, though the S5 coupe will be equipped with a 4.2-liter V8. The S5 cabrio will hit the 60 mph mark in 4.9 seconds. The new A5 lineup will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The new models will be available for sake in late 2011 or in early 2012.
