Audi is back again with its redesigned 2013 Audi A5. The new vehicle features a 2.0-liter TFSI engine good for 211 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The A5 has quattro all-wheel drive system mated to the standard six-speed manual and optional eight-speed tiptronic® transmission. Aluminum components of trapezoidal-link rear suspension and five-link front suspension provide sharp handling and are optimized to minimize weight. The interior of the vehicle features reconfigured infotainment and climate controls and new, elegant surface finishes. The chrome trim can be found at the controls, and the steering wheel comes with chrome and high-gloss inlays.
The refreshed Audi A5 offers several new technology features including enhanced active lane assist and adaptive cruise control with ''brake guard'' and ''stop & go'' capability. Another innovative service offered with the vehicle is Audi connect, an infotainment system that features a unique level of integrated connectivity. Due to Audi Connect, the MMI® Navigation system was enhanced with real-time SiriusXM Traffic information and Google Earth maps. The service also features news, real-time localized weather, live fuel prices, and other required information for a driver through the factory-installed wireless internet.
The newly redesigned Audi A5 became available for sale at the territory of the USA in June 2012 and debuted as 2013 model.
