ATK Engines

Building Quality Engines for over 75 Years

ATK reverse-engineers every engine to eliminate factory defects, then designs and constructs that engine so that it makes the best performance. Each engine has quality internal parts and includes the components from the reputable performance parts manufacturers in the industry. Every engine is dyno-proven and ATK provides the dyno sheet to verify the numbers. ATK also backs its products with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty.

Featured Products

Every ATK engine is a product of over 75 years of engine building experience. ATK's sister company, VEGE Motoren, was founded in Holland in 1936 and became successful remanufacturing components for ex-military vehicles left in Europe after World War II. Today ATK/VEGE offers over 1,500 products and is proud to be an ISO/TS 16949 and QS-9000 certified company. All its engines are built at the Performance Shop in Grand Prairie, Texas.

ATK - FAQATK - VideosATK - About

Each ATK engine is thoroughly cleaned and inspected, and machined to specifications using state-of-the-art processes and equipment. Every engine is balanced and blueprinted, with tolerances to 0.0002" and weight to 2 grams of specifications. Once machining is completed, numerous tests are performed to verify sizes, finishes, and component integrity. ATK's professional craftsmen hand assemble each engine using new pistons, rings, bearings, timing components, oil pump, and gaskets. Finally, each engine is tested under its own power to verify compression, oil flow and pressure.

ATK offers several types of performance engines, a short bloc including a cylinder block assembled with pistons, piston rings, and crankshaft; the Stage 1 is a short block, camshaft, timing set, cylinder heads, valve covers, timing cover, oil pump, pickup tube and oil pan; the Stage 2 is the Stage 1 plus an intake manifold, distributor, water pump, front damper and flex plate; the Stage 3 includes the Stage 2 and carburetion, spark plug wires and spark plugs.

I ordered the ATK engine. I am impressed with the attention to detail ; it also arrived sooner than expected. The experience was pleasant and easier than dealing local. I'm sure I saved a lot of money too.

It looks decent. For its price, it is worth it. Runs strong, burns rubber when I want and the engine is very smooth. Very impressed! I will continue to use this seller.

In comparison of price vs performance & warranty (which is good)...I think , it would be worth it to go with them today as compared to the OEM crate engines......they are a little bit pricey, but great quality!
